I’m Mariana Ugarte, founder of Casamar Studio, an interior designer and creative director based in Milan after nearly a decade in London, originally from the Philippines.

I began my career in interiors, running my own design studio for nine years, and have always been drawn to creating spaces that feel thoughtful, personal, and lived in. Over time, my work has evolved beyond interiors into a broader creative direction, shaped by an international perspective and a deep sensitivity to how people live.

Growing up in the Philippines, building my life and business in London, and eventually moving to Milan to raise my two boys has given me a layered understanding of home. Relocating taught me that a space is not just about how it looks, but how it supports your life, your routines, and your sense of belonging.

Today, through Casamar Studio, I work with clients in Milan and internationally to design interiors that feel intuitive, refined, and truly their own. My approach is both practical and creative, combining design clarity with a strong sense of atmosphere and detail.

Alongside interior design, I contribute to home and design features for Tatler Asia and am currently developing a collection of interior products. I’m also interested in creative direction and the evolving role of technology in how we design and experience spaces, and I’m always open to collaborations that explore these intersections.
